Scott Roxwell

Growing up in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky...our radio stations didn't separate genres of music, they mixed them. Country, Rock, RnB, Motown, even Bluegrass....one after the other. I didn't even know there were music genres....only music! The one thing they all shared was "the groove". Drums always got me grooving.
I got my 1st drum kit at the age of 18 and began trying to play along to Led Zeppelin, Alabama, Guns n Roses, Merle Haggard, Black Sabbath, Brooks n Dunn, etc. Being a self taught drummer, while being a slow process, also allowed me to develop my own style of drumming. I didn't know what to do or how to do it....I just did it. I wanted to be the drummer I never got to see. To be entertaining and animated without sacrificing the groove.
I've been very fortunate over the years to live and drum in many states as well as tour in 2 bands. A Guns n Roses Tribute and an original country band. I've had the pleasure of opening for many National Acts, both country and rock.
As a resident of NY for over 10 years, I've been able to stay very busy in my musical journey. I get to rock out in my local rock band and now I have the pleasure of showing my country chops with some of the most talented musicians in the area, in the form of the DGB! There's something special about this group and I can't wait to meet/entertain you all!
